Learn to ride at your own pace

We’ll start on the lunge line to help you develop balance and confidence in the saddle. Before long, you’ll be riding independently around the arena. Wondering what all those riding terms mean? Don’t worry — you’ll discover it all during your lessons!

After your first five private lessons, you’re welcome to join a group class that matches your age and experience. If you’d like a bit more one-on-one attention before joining a group, you can always continue with private lessons a little longer.

Ready for your first lesson?

Being well-prepared makes all the difference. That’s why we’ve put together a short checklist of what to wear:

  • A riding helmet: For your first five lessons, you can borrow a helmet from us. After that, we kindly ask you to purchase your own.

  • Riding breeches or comfortable, stretchy pants without seams: For comfort and safety in the saddle.

  • A fitted shirt or sweater (without a hood): Avoid wearing open jackets or loose clothing — sudden movement can startle horses.

  • Sturdy, high shoes: With a solid sole and a small heel. Please don’t ride in sneakers or sports shoes.

  • After your private lessons: If you decide to continue riding, we recommend investing in proper riding boots or jodhpur boots with half chaps.

Please arrive at the riding school about 30 minutes before your lesson and check in at the bar. Our enthusiastic instructor will welcome you and show you around. Together, you’ll groom your horse, saddle up, and get ready to ride.

We look forward to showing you just how much fun horseback riding can be — enjoy your lesson!

The wellbeing of our horses

The wellbeing of our horses always comes first. That’s why we have a weight limit of 90 kilograms for our riders. This guideline is based on what a horse can comfortably and safely carry — every horse has a natural limit to how much weight it can bear without strain.

When a horse is regularly overloaded, it can lead to health issues such as joint wear, muscle injuries, or back problems. By setting this limit, we make sure our horses stay fit, healthy, and happy — now and in the future.

For children:
It’s important for children to maintain a healthy weight when learning to ride. A balanced body makes it easier to stay centered in the saddle, which keeps both the child and our ponies safe and comfortable.

Waiting list

Our riding lessons are incredibly popular — and we’re thrilled about that! Unfortunately, it also means that our waiting list is currently full. To avoid long waiting times for new riders, we’re not taking any new registrations at the moment.

We’re doing everything we can to shorten the existing waiting list so we can welcome new riders again soon. As soon as there’s space available, you’ll be able to join without any delay.

In the meantime, you’re always welcome to give us a call for more information about our lessons and the current waiting time.
