A 5-star riding school: what does that mean?
The FNRS inspects our riding school every two and a half years. We fulfill the following requirements in order to keep this high rating.
- Health: Our horses are always in excellent condition and are never overworked. Riding school horses are used for lessons with a maximum of once a day.
- Housing & free movement: the horses are kept in spacious, clean stables that meet legal requirements. They stay in the paddock to get enough movement, in the winter, and in the summer they enjoy group turn out in the pastures.
- Feeding: Every horse gets acces to ample roughage and water. To guarantee that each horse always gets the right nutrients, we create an individual feeding plan for each horse.
- Medical care: DAP De Vijfssprong in Wekerom provides our horses with yearly vaccinations, wormings, and dental care. Furthermore, our blacksmith ensures that all horses’ hooves are properly shod and trimmed.
